Gut Restoration Tea Blend

March 09, 2025 in Tea Recipes

Gut Restoration Tea is a unique blend of herbs that help to restore your digestive fire. Bringing warmth back into the digestive system, promoting internal wound healing while increasing proper nutrient absorption.

Calendula and Plantain are both excellent wound healing remedies for the skin. Our digestive system is essentially our internal skin, therefore making it an excellent pair to assist the bodies internal healing process and reducing inflammation that is present. Plantain is also a demulcent meaning that it will bring extra moisture to any tissues that are dry within the digestive system. Chamomile is an excellent digestive bitter that will help to increase digestive function through increased gastric secretions while relaxing any tension or spasms within the digestive tract. Lemon Balm acts as a carminative, increasing circulation, relaxing cramping/spasms and decreasing the presence of gas/wind. Peppermint is used as a driver within the formula to help move the other herbs deeper into the tissues of the digestive system.

This blend will be warming and slightly drying to the body’s constitution.

Directions:

Use 1-2 tbsp of loose tea per cup of water. Steep covered up to 20 minutes strain and enjoy. Sweeten as needed.
